Curator, writer and researcher Grant Watson pursues long term interests at theintersection of textile politics, queer sensibility, left histories, and the transcultural.This work has often brought attention to underrepresented ideas, media and types ofpractice, with projects taking place inside, outside and between institutions, as wellas through online platforms and in community settings. These projects includeworking in archives, collaborations with artists and researchers, and long-terminterview trajectories, with presentations using exhibition formats, as well as sound,video and text. Watson has collaborated with institutions such as If I Can’t Dance IDon’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution (Amsterdam) The House of WorldCultures (Berlin) the Bauhaus Kooperation (Berlin/Dessau/Weimar) SESC Pompéia(São Paulo) the Kiran Nadar Museum (New Delhi) Tate Liverpool, and Documenta 12.He has held curatorial positions at the Institute of International Visual Arts (London)the Museum of Contemporary Art (Antwerp) and Project Arts Centre (Dublin).Watson teaches at the Royal College of Art (London) and the Dutch Art Institute(Arnhem) and has a PhD in Visual Cultures from Goldsmiths College.
